Summer school has really been kicking my ass lately, and its only the second day. Can you believe I already have an essay due this Monday? ahhhhh. Anyways today my teacher let us out early (hurrah!) and so I went to buy some fabric paint, and stopped by fabricville to check some stuff out. I ended up not having to renew my card( she didn't notice! ha) and i just got some cool black and purple poplin. Ive really been inspired by exo-skeletons lately and i'm working on a series of t-shirts (not done yet, more on them later) I then decided to start making Alex's next outfit for the next VISTA show. The black thing is what i ended up with. I love how it looks like a exterior shell/protection/skeleton. It looks realllly realllly cool live. I'm not sure whether to put it on the front(first picture) or back yet though. I was also thinking front and back(make another panel) but i think it'd just be too much. haha Oh well... but all this was before my machine screwed up, it now makes a clicky sound whenever i push the pedal... anyone know what that's about?
Just what i needed, i mean it just started working again! I'll bring it to the sewing store place tomorrow to get it fixed, hopefully it wont cost too much. Oh and the black tank is just this tank but i used some silver fabric paint, there's also a collar/necklace design in the back too! The other shirt is quite self explanatory, I've always wanted a peace sign shirt, so voila and I really love the whole paint smudgy vibe of it.

Here are my favorites from Christopher Kane's first resort collection. He is quickly becoming one of my favorite designers. His prints are so eclectic and vulgar yet the shapes of his clothes are so classic. This contrast is so fresh and exciting! I also heard that his new collaboration with topshop is AMAZING. AHH i can't wait!

Here's a better look at a few of the things you can do with the new vest. It was a bit dark in the video and so i made this so that you can really see the different looks clearly. So far i've only made two, but i want to give some out so i need to renew my fabricville elite card :( and then I have to buy more fabric. ahhhhh anyways back to the vest, I really love all the draping and the versatility of it. This weekend i wore it as a circle scarf and no one knew it was even a vest! Although, i'm not so sure i should still call it a vest, because its so much more... haha Ah well, enjoy. oh and please pardon my weird/ugly faces in the pictures. I had to hurry! Now im off to bed...

i'm dying. This complex geometries and Tommy Ton [of jak&jil] collaboration is amazing! These pictures scream summer, and now all i can think about is wearing/owning a complex geometries piece. need to buy now. I had doubts before, about buying something so pricey (it is just jersey afterall) but after seeing these pictures, i cant wait to get my hands on something! Now all thats left to do is choose.... ahh this could be a while...

AHH Alexander Wang's resort 2010 collection was unveiled today and all i can say is that it's classic Wang, but softer and cleaner. [ The pictues posted are my favorite out of the 41 looks.] The collection is truly amazing, and i awed over ever picture for at least 5 minutes each! My favorites are definitely the dresses. I mean, so fierce, strong, feminine, sexy, and edgy. I need to learn how to drape asap. ahhhhhhhhh. I was looking through the collection and the only thing i could possibly make is this silk cardigan, which is amazing and i think it'd be so lush and i dont think i'd be that complicated to make. I still have to go and fix my sewing machine though. I'll to go tomorrow, i promise. :)



- Every other resort collection was pretty blah, nothing spectacular. Rag&Bone has some nice pieces like that dropcrotch legging/pants. But overall Resort this season has been so uninspiring. Screw the recession, i want dreamy indulgence.

uhh so IM DONE SCHOOL. there's only a four day intensive gym but who cares? AH so as i treat for finishing school, i lifted my selfimposed ban from fabricville; lucky me there was a HUGE reno sale. I got some grey jersey, some spicy coral (ha), and some black. im going to go back soon to buy more. 50% off on sale fabrics, what!? ahhhh its summer and im loving it.

THIRD FLOOR

I just found this amazing new brand called THIRD FLOOR NEW YORK, I LOVE their aesthetic. I would make or buy every single piece of their new A/W09 collection if i could. Everything about it; the cuts, draping, spicy coral, the black. This collection just embodies what I wish to be. I am also totally making my own winter jacket this year. Must improve now.
